What is the Brand Marketing Team? 

The Brand Marketing Team Workshop I & II course sequence (Formally the Advertising Team) is tied to the American Advertising Federation’s (AAF) National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC). The competition is held in the spring but requires extensive preparation for the event. It is without question the best credential students can receive in higher education to make yourself an attractive candidate for real world employment. In fact, many of our students have obtained full-time employment from recruiters who come to observe this special competition.

BMT Course Information 

MAR 346: Brand Marketing Team I (Fall)

Mar 346 (Brand Marketing Team I) is an intensive, hands-on learning experience where all students in the class will function as part of an advertising agency. Further, this course includes essential advertising planning, the required study of creative principles and research that is necessary for Brand Marketing Team II. Students in this course will receive a campaign brief from the American Advertising Federation (AAF) as part of the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) and its sponsor. 

MAR 348: Brand Marketing Team II (Spring)

Building upon Brand Marketing Team I, Brand Marketing Team II participants meet on a regular basis to create a complete advertising campaign for a product suggested by the corporate sponsor as part of the AAF’s NSAC. Operating like an advertising agency, the team must deploy problem solving skills, conduct various analyses, design creative media materials, and formulate a comprehensive plan which is presented to a professional jury.
